National Reconciliation Week
Prior to National Reconciliation Week, from May 27th to June 3rd, we aimed to form a 'sea of hearts' at all our services.
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2024 was 'Now more than ever.' We encouraged our families, educators and children to use heart templates to write their answer to the question: 'What does reconciliation mean to you?' and decorate their heart. We then creatively displayed these in a common area of our services.
Through April and May our sea of Hearts was a visible call to all our communities, to read, to reflect, and contribute their own thinking and approach to reconciliation.
National Reconciliation Week invites us to delve into our collective histories, cultures, and accomplishments, pondering our roles in advancing reconciliation in Australia.
